Dad surprised Daisy this morning, her 8th birthday! Wow!
Eight years ago this girl appeared in all her 10 pound 3 ounce glory. She was already a fighter as she, after much struggle, exited my 5’2” frame. She was bruised and mangled but beautiful in all her chubby glory!
With an affinity for adventure and dressing appropriately (dinosaur costumes, et al) she has completed our family and blessed each of us in so many ways. I’ve watched her grow and change and lose all hair and baby fat but gain even more tenacity, kindness, grit, and courage. She is honest, encouraging, selfless and possesses true beauty. Thank you Daisy for the laughter and tears and for being a girl of whom we could not be more proud.
