As I lay here (yes I’m still in bed) pondering family, cancer, medicine, and falafels I am realizing how so often in this terrible yet beautiful journey a constant and very strong thread is the realization of how many people are incredible blessings. Never would we get to experience the love we have experienced in the last three years if we weren’t living this story. From sun kissed little girls selling lemonade to people sharing in their talents to letters containing fun things like a mustache on a stick, we are overcome by people and the capacity of love.
Most recently we had the privilege of meeting the VP and president of Ugg (yes the cozy boot company who by the way makes beautiful shoes and bags too). They put on a sample sale for their employees and their families locally and I stopped by in between doctor appointments. This sale was to benefit Daisy and her treatment. They raised $80,000!!! It was a total rager!
What an incredible company, they do this often to benefit various causes and people in need. They were so loving and generous and we felt so cared for not to mention there were so many cool creative people on the team there.
Not only are we on a journey of pain but of a discovery of grace and being on the receiving end of a kind of joy that comes with walking hand in hand with so many who are rooting for Daisy.
Thank you Ugg Corporation for all your love! You are amazing and we appreciate you!
